April 2010 -Reynolds wins $1000 in the BC Green Games for their work reclaiming the front of the school... “The Mighty Oak”
April 2011 -For the third year running Reynolds won $1000 in the BC Green Games...this time for their work developing L.U.N.C.H. (Locally United for Nutrition and Courtyard Harvest)—The school has partnered with Madrona and Healing Farms and plans to use items from its own courtyard to offer a salad bar lunch at the school next year.

The Reynolds Greenspaces Project has been awarded $ 16,435 under a Trees for Tomorrow grant to cover tree and plant requirements for the project !!!
Green Games RESULTS !! Reynolds has won 2- $2000.00 prizes and a $66,000 fully installed solar panel installation on the roof the school !!
RGSP awarded $950.00 through BC Hydro Community Champion Awards !!

The Reynolds Parents Advisory Council has boosted Phase Two of the project with a $ 3000.00 donation !

The garden beds have been constructed in the inner courtyard, and filled with soil.
RGSP has been awarded $ 2500.00 from the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation !
Phase one involving creation of the project plan and design has been completed. Planting in the front of the school has started and over the summer, excavation in the courtyard began.
With complete project plans, major fundraising is underway.
This project was one of five winners in Tyee contest for greening projects. |
